80% of Americans do not have access to civil legal help, including for shelter, sustenance, safety, health, and child custody.
The Commons Law Center is a new legal resource in Oregon. Our mission is to revolutionize access to basic legal services, information, and support for underserved people. We offer sliding-scale legal services and free community legal education to the public. By Fall 2017 we intend to hire our first cohort of fellows who will receive training, supervision, and mentorship to support their work. Stay tuned; we're open-sourcing the model to help even more people innovate to expand access to justice.
